First ‘88 in 88’ video segment of 2026-27 school year features ‘welcome back’ message from Superintendent, information about new student attendance initiative

District 88 is thrilled to continue its “88 in 88" video series. This communication piece was launched in 2024-25, and segments feature about 88 seconds of news and highlights from the district to help keep stakeholders connected and informed.

The first episode of the 2026-27 school year features a “welcome back” message from District 88 Superintendent Dr. Jean Barbanente. She shares information regarding:

• A new district initiative to improve student attendance
  
  
• The recent success of Addison Trail and Willowbrook receiving 9 out of 10 college readiness rankings from GreatSchools
  
  
• Her handbook letter, which includes details about academic supports, social-emotional supports, safety and security, ways to stay connected with the district and schools and more
