On April 28, District 88 hosted a district update meeting for parents/guardians and students. This was the final update meeting for the 2025-26 school year.

During the meeting, Addison Trail, Willowbrook and District 88 administrators, as well as District 88 Board of Education members, shared important information regarding:

  • The district’s continued focus on providing a high-quality and comprehensive learning environment to prepare students to be college and career ready in a diverse society

  • Academics (including curricular offerings, graduation requirements and flexibilities, registration details for the 2026-27 school year and more)

  • Resources available for students (academic and social-emotional supports)

  • Updates/reminders with facility improvements, safety and security, transportation and technology

  • Upcoming end-of-school-year events and summer camps

  • How to stay connected with District 88, including groups that parents/guardians and community members can join and marketing materials with important/helpful information about the district and schools

  • A potential bond proposal the district is evaluating to address facility improvements at Addison Trail and Willowbrook high schools, including safety and security upgrades, addressing aging infrastructure, ADA accessibility and improvements to Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces
    • The potential proposal would fund these essential updates at both facilities without a net tax rate increase. This is possible because District 88 has existing referendum debt that will be paid off after levy year 2026, and the district has limited the proposal to the absolute highest-priority needs. Throughout the school year, District 88 hosts update meetings to communicate and connect with parents/guardians and students. This is an opportunity to meet with administrators and Board of Education members to discuss the school year and future plans, as well as a chance to participate in a question-and-answer session.

  • The meeting dates for 2026-27 will be shared soon at dupage88.net/SchoolUpdates.

  • Families will receive an e-mail with details before each meeting, including the link to register.

  • An interpreter will be present during the meetings to share the information in Spanish.
