District 88 celebrates Public Schools Week

From Feb. 23 to 27, District 88 recognized Public Schools Week (#PSW26), an annual event dedicated to honoring the invaluable contributions and achievements of educators and education advocates in public schools and the communities they serve.

This year’s theme, “Building Stronger, Fairer and More Resilient Public Education Systems,” highlights the essential role public schools play in strengthening communities, expanding opportunity and preparing every learner to thrive. Each day of Public Schools Week focused on a key pillar.

Led by the Learning First Alliance (LFA), a coalition of 11 national education groups with a collective membership exceeding 10 million, Public Schools Week invites the education community, parents/guardians, lawmakers and others to join in spotlighting public schools throughout the U.S. and the dedicated individuals behind them.
