In an effort to streamline opportunities for all of our students in their post-secondary planning, we have created career pathway videos that showcase opportunities for our students. These videos are organized by career clusters and highlight coursework and extracurricular activities that align with each pathway. Please take a moment to review the short videos at the link below.

We are also excited to announce the D88 College Launch: The Power of 15 initiative, which encourages students to begin their college journey by earning college credit while still in high school. Benefits of earning early college credit include:

  • 15 credit hours are equivalent to one semester of college credits
  • Earn up to one semester of college credits at no cost
  • Courses are taught by District 88 teachers, who have the credentials and are adjunct faculty at our partner institutions
  • All courses are taught in the buildings during the regular school day
  • Students will enroll in the course at their high school, and - upon successful completion - will receive credit toward both high school graduation and transcripted college credit from our partner institution
  • Build confidence by experiencing the rigor of a college course
  • Demonstrate readiness for college success
  • Last year, D88 students saved close to $2.6 million in potential tuition costs
