On Dec. 16, District 88 hosted a district update meeting for parents/guardians and students. This was the second update meeting of the 2025-26 school year.

During the meeting, Addison Trail, Willowbrook and District 88 administrators, as well as District 88 Board of Education members, shared the following important information.

  • Dates when each student will meet individually with his/her counselor to select classes for the 2026-27 school year

  • The various college/career pathways and courses/curricular opportunities available for students

  • New courses added for the 2026-27 school year

  • Flexibilities within District 88’s graduation requirements

  • Save the date for Addison Trail’s Course Information Night and Athletic/Activity Fair and Willowbrook’s Curriculum Showcase and Meet the Coaches/Clubs Night on Jan. 15, 2026

  • Save the date for an Open House on Jan. 15, 2026, at Technology Center of DuPage (TCD), which offers DuPage County-area high school juniors and seniors 17 career and technical education (CTE) programs as part of their high school curriculum, as well as an opportunity to earn college credit while in high school

  • District 88’s ACT Preparation Course for juniors, including how to register

  • Academic supports available for students

  • Mental health and social-emotional supports available for students

  • Guidelines and process for weather-related school closings

  • Safety and security updates and reminders

  • Facility updates for 2025-26 and 2026-27

  • Long-term facility planning and an invitation to attend the District 88 Citizens Task Force meetings

  • How to stay connected with District 88, including groups for parents/guardians and community members to join

Throughout the school year, District 88 hosts update meetings to communicate and connect with parents/guardians and students. This is an opportunity to meet with administrators and Board of Education members to discuss the school year and future plans, as well as a chance to participate in a question-and-answer session.
