Addison Trail and Willowbrook honored with NEDSRA 2025 Superstar Friend award

On Nov. 14, Addison Trail and Willowbrook were honored and recognized by Northeast DuPage Special Recreation Association (NEDSRA).

The schools were named as the recipient of the 2025 Superstar Friend award during NEDSRA’s RISE event. Beth Corso, NEDSRA Recreation Coordinator, thanked Addison Trail and Willowbrook for supporting NEDSRA’s athletic teams and for going above and beyond to create special opportunities and memories for the Huskies.

“They are not just stars because of their support; they are superstars because of the people they are – fiercely loyal and generous,” Corso said during the awards presentation. “Addison Trail and Willowbrook have made our life, and the lives of so many others, so much brighter. The best is yet to come!”

Addison Trail Assistant Principal for Athletics and Operations Humberto Ayala, Willowbrook Assistant Principal for Athletics and Operations Ed Sullivan and Willowbrook soccer coach Pete Montgomery attended to represent the schools. They invited Addison Trail, Willowbrook and District 88 Transition Program students/alumni who were at the event to join them on stage for a photo.
