District 88 shares highlights of 2025 Illinois Report Card
At District 88, we strive each and every day to build positive futures for our students and to achieve our mission and vision.
The results of the 2025 Illinois Report Card, which were released by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) on Oct. 30, show the successes of District 88 and reflect the efforts of our Board of Education, staff, students, parents/guardians, community members and partners.
District 88 successes and Report Card highlights include:
- Addison Trail and Willowbrook again received a summative designation of Commendable, which is the second-highest level. According to the ISBE, “A school’s annual summative designation describes how well an individual school is meeting the needs of all its students … across a range of academic and student success indicators.” See the links below for more information.

- With regard to the Summative Designation Meta Indicator Components, District 88 is above the state level in the following areas:
- The percentage of students who met the requirements for at least 1 academic ELA (English Language Arts) indicator
- The percentage of students who met the requirements for at least 1 academic Math indicator
- The percentage of students who have earned 3+ career-ready indicators
- District 88’s 4-year, 5-year and 6-year graduation rates are above 92 percent and remain above the state level.
- District 88’s 9th Grade on Track number, the percentage of freshmen on track to graduate, is above 92 percent and remains above the state level.
- District 88’s ELA (English Language Arts) growth is above the state level.
- District 88’s Math growth is above the state level.
Other District 88 successes and highlights:
- District 88 offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes credentialed career-based curricular tracks, more than 30 Advanced Placement (AP) college-level courses and more than 50 dual-credit and collegiate-credit courses in 18 career pathway areas, along with award-winning fine arts programming. The district is committed to providing multiple and flexible pathways for students to find post-secondary success and continues to expand access to college credits and industry-recognized certifications to help ensure students are college and career ready.
- Addison Trail and Willowbrook have received positive rankings from GreatSchools and are considered to be “performing above average compared to public and charter schools in Illinois with the same grade levels.” Willowbrook earned a College Readiness Rating of 9/10 and outperforms 86% of similar schools in Illinois, and Addison Trail earned a College Readiness Rating of 8/10 and outperforms 77% of similar schools in Illinois. This metric measures how many students take Advanced Placement (AP) classes and graduate on time, as well as student performance on college entrance exams (ACT or SAT). - Addison Trail and Willowbrook have achieved status as Best High Schools though the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 Best High Schools rankings. The 2025-26 edition of Best High Schools includes a numerical ranking of nearly all public high schools nationwide (almost 18,000 of them), using six factors based on state assessment performance, college readiness and graduation rate. - In 2024-25, students earned about 5,500 college credits. These courses allow students to earn college credit while in high school, giving them a potential opportunity to save more than $2.5 million in college tuition.
- During the 2024-25 school year, students earned more than 1,600 career certifications.
District 88’s online dashboard – which includes aspects of the Illinois Report Card, as well as a variety of other information – will be updated in early November to reflect the 2024-25 school year.
