District 88 highlights recent successes and achievements in newest ‘88 in 88’ video segment
We’re excited to share the first “88 in 88” video segment of the 2025-26 school year!
We launched this communication piece last year, which features videos that are about 88 seconds long with news and highlights from District 88 to help keep stakeholders connected with and informed about the district.
This episode highlights:
Recent successes and achievements, including Addison Trail and Willowbrook earning strong ratings from GreatSchools and U.S. News & World Report
Willowbrook earned a College Readiness Rating of 9/10 from GreatSchools and outperforms 86% of similar schools in Illinois, and Addison Trail earned a College Readiness Rating of 8/10 from GreatSchools and outperforms 77% of similar schools in Illinois.
AT and WB achieved status as Best High Schools though the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-26 Best High Schools rankings and earned high National and metro-area rankings.
Career certifications and college credits earned by students last year
During the 2024-25 school year, students earned 1,693 career certifications and 5,612 college credits. Those courses allow students to earn college credit while in high school, saving them a potential of more than $2.6 million in college tuition.
District 88 offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes credentialed career-based curricular tracks, more than 30 Advanced Placement college-level courses and more than 50 dual-credit and collegiate-credit courses in 18 career pathway areas, along with award-winning fine arts programming. The district is committed to providing multiple and flexible pathways for students to find post-secondary success and continues to expand access to college credits and industry-recognized certifications to help ensure students are college and career ready.
Tremendous accomplishments reached by our English Learner students

Wonderful participation with the state biliteracy recognition
During the 2024-25 school year, more than 200 students earned the State Seal of Biliteracy and/or the State Commendation toward Biliteracy in 10 languages. This recognition is given to graduating high school students who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in English and in another language.
