District 88 Transition Program hosts celebration to honor graduates and business partners

On May 28, the District 88 Transition Program hosted an end-of-school-year event to celebrate the students who are graduating, as well as the companies that partner with the program to serve as vocational sites.

To view a photo gallery from the celebration, see the images below.

The District 88 Transition Program helps individuals ages 18 to 21 who have a variety of abilities learn life skills, obtain job training in a community setting and transition to life after District 88.

During the event, staff members shared memories and stories about each graduate and presented him/her with a certificate and a T-shirt. The 2025 graduates are Samuel Etheridge, Gianfranco Ferraris, Raquel Florez, Bernardo Gomez, Brandon Guillemette, Jonathan Leal, Taha Mahmood, Margaret “Maggie” Myers, Alina Patel, Jonathan Ramos, Angel Serrano, Deseray Stott, Jazmin Terreros, Luis Ultreras and William “Billy” Vuong.

As those students exited the building for the final time on May 29, they were met with congratulatory cheers and applause from District 88 staff and administration.
