On April 9, District 88 art students traveled to Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago to view the Illinois High School Art Exhibition (IHSAE), which included pieces by the Addison Trail and Willowbrook students listed below. They also visited the National Museum of Mexican Art.
The IHSAE Main Event took place on April 13 and featured awards, college scholarships and a live art competition (Art Throwdown). Students also were able to meet with representatives from colleges/universities and show their portfolios. This event is hosted by Art ConnectED and brings together top student artists from 100 Illinois high schools to celebrate the power of art in their lives.
