Parents/guardians, caregivers and youth workers invited to attend free workshop to help keep teens safe and healthy this summer

On April 15, the DuPage County Prevention Leadership Team (PLT) and Serenity House will host a free workshop for parents/guardians, caregivers and youth workers to learn how to help keep teens safe and healthy this summer.

The event will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Addison Township Office, 401 N. Addison Road in Addison. The presentation will be available in Spanish as well.

Participants will better understand how to:

• Talk to teens about substance-use prevention
  
  
• Recognize signs of use and how teens might be concealing use
  
  
• Intervene to support teens who need assistance
  
  
• Access resources
