District 88 partners with KidsMatter to provide ‘Supporting Youth Mental Health’ presentation for parents/guardians

At District 88, the safety, health and well-being of students is our No. 1 priority. The district continues to implement programs and services to provide mental health and social-emotional assistance for students.

As part of that focus, the district is partnering with KidsMatter (https://kidsmatter2us.org) to offer a presentation for Addison Trail and Willowbrook parents/guardians on this topic. See the details below.

What: “Supporting Youth Mental Health” presentation

*Parents/guardians also will have the opportunity to register for a Youth Mental Health First Aid class in English or Spanish. Learn more about Youth Mental Health First Aid at www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/population-focused-modules/youth.

When: 7 p.m. on Feb. 12, 2025 (during the schools’ Citizens Advisory Council, CAC, meetings)

Where: The information will be shared at both high schools.

• Addison Trail speaker: Luma Bonilla-Webster, programs manager for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Illinois Chapter. Bonilla-Webster is bilingual in Spanish and English.
