On Oct. 24, District 88 and its associate elementary school districts – Addison School District 4, District 45 and Salt Creek School District 48 – hosted their annual Learning Compact Joint Board Meeting.
That event is an opportunity for Board of Education members from all four districts to come together to discuss important information taking place in each district, as well as issues facing public education.
This year’s meeting topic focused on what the districts have done to serve students in this post-pandemic era. All four districts have made significant efforts to raise the rigor in the classroom, assist more diverse learners, expand academic supports, increase and diversify extracurricular participation, add mental health programs/services/resources and community partnerships, and enhance security measures.
The presenters were (pictured above, from left to right) superintendents Dr. Jean Barbanente (District 88), Dr. Nick Sutton (District 4), Dr. Amy Zaher (District 48) and Dr. Brian Graber (District 45).
