On Feb. 14, the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) announced Girls Flag Football is now officially a sanctioned sport in Illinois.
According to https://www.ihsa.org/News-Media/Announcements/girls-flag-football-to-debut-as-ihsa-sport-in-fall-of-2024, “Girls Flag Football will be the latest sport to debut an IHSA State Series, as the IHSA will conduct its inaugural postseason, culminating with an IHSA Girls Flag Football State Champion being crowned, in fall 2024.” To read more, click on the link above.
