YWCA Elgin and 2024 Presenting Sponsor, Claire’s, to host prom dress event

The YWCA Elgin and 2024 Presenting Sponsor, Claire’s, will help make dreams come true for hundreds of high school girls during the 18^th annual “Cinderella’s Closet.”

This event is a pop-up boutique where attendees, with the assistance of a personal shopper “Fairy Godmother,” can shop for dresses, jewelry, purses, shoes and makeup.

When: March 9 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and March 10 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
*Appointments are required.

Where: YWCA Elgin, 220 E. Chicago St. in Elgin

Cost:

• Each attendee will receive a dress, minor alterations, jewelry (donated by Claire’s) and new or gently used purse and shoes (while supplies last) included with a $25 donation.
  
  
• Students in need can receive the same at no cost, with a signed Referral Form from their guidance counselor/social worker/homeless liaison.
