On April 18, District 88 hosted a School Update Meeting for parents/guardians and students. To watch the meeting and to view the presentation (in English and in Spanish), click on the video and the links above.
During the meeting, Addison Trail, Willowbrook and District 88 administrators, as well as District 88 Board of Education members, shared the following important information.
Humberto Ayala has been named as Addison Trail’s new Athletic Director, effective July 1.
Gail Galivan has been elected as a new District 88 Board of Education member and will officially be installed on April 27.
District 88 is committed to making sure each student is college ready, career ready, culturally ready and future ready, and a main focus of the district is to have each student working toward a viable college and career integrated pathway. The district shared courses and externally credentialed/dual-credit career pathways that are available to students.
The district will expand the schools’ resource centers to streamline and enhance interventions.
A variety of mental health and social-emotional services/programs are available to support students.
The district discussed the Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) at Addison Trail and Willowbrook and invited parents/guardians and community members to join the group.

Throughout the school year, District 88 hosts School Update Meetings to communicate and connect with parents/guardians and students. This is an opportunity to meet with administrators and Board of Education members to discuss the school year and future plans, as well as a chance to participate in a question-and-answer session. See details below.
Families will receive an e-mail with details before each meeting, including the link to register.
An interpreter will be present during the meetings to share the information in Spanish.
