District 88 is focused on connecting with all students to foster an inclusive environment and a sense of belonging to support each child on his or her journey to success. As part of that initiative, the district implemented esports (short for “electronic sports”) as an extracurricular opportunity for students this year. Esports is a form of sport competition that uses video games and often takes the form of organized, multiplayer contests.
