District 88 Board of Education Vice President achieves Master Board Member recognition

District 88 is proud and excited to share Board of Education Vice President Daniel (Dan) Olson (pictured above) has achieved Level 1 Master Board Member recognition by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB). His achievement was celebrated during the Nov. 15 Board of Education meeting. To watch the presentation, click on the video above.

Olson has served on the District 88 Board of Education since April 2019 and has been Vice President since April 2021. During his time on the Board, Olson has been on the following District 88 Board of Education committees: Finance, Employee Recognition, Foundation, Technology Planning, Behavioral Interventions, Building and Grounds, Citizen Advisory Councils, Board Scholarship, Evaluation/Compensation, Negotiations, Policy and LEND.

Olson’s connection to District 88 goes beyond serving as a board member – he also is a parent of three sons who are Willowbrook graduates, and he served as a board member on the Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club.

Olson was honored for his accomplishment during the IASB DuPage Division Meeting on Oct. 21 in Glen Ellyn.
