Event to take place to learn about 4-H Youth Development programs

4-H Youth Development programs provide ways for young people to belong to a group, give back to their community, learn things they’re interested in and develop independence. Members can explore projects in the following areas:

  • Career and Leadership Development
  • Creative Arts
  • STEM
  • Animal Science
  • Environmental Science
  • Healthy Living and Nutrition
  • Global Civic Engagement

On Oct. 7, those interested in joining 4-H are invited to attend a kickoff event to learn about 4-H programs for children ages 5 to 18 in DuPage County. Participants will be able to enjoy hands-on activities, meet 4-H club leaders and staff, ask questions and see projects and curriculum.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road in Wheaton (Building No. 5). For questions or more information, contact Andrea Farrier at farrier2@illinois.edu or 630-955-1123, or go to https://extension.illinois.edu/dkk/4-h-dupage-county.
