District 88 football coaches present during Rotary Club of Villa Park meeting

On Aug. 30, Addison Trail Football Head Coach Paul Parpet Jr. and Willowbrook Football Head Coach Nick Hildreth spoke with the Rotary Club of Villa Park.

The coaches served as the group’s guest speakers and shared insight into this year’s football season, how the sport has changed through the years and how the schools are working to develop well-rounded student-athletes and to stay in touch with football alumni.

District 88 Superintendent Dr. Scott Helton (a member of the Rotary Club), Addison Trail Principal Michael Bolden and Willowbrook Principal Dan Krause also attended the meeting and introduced the coaches. Bolden also shared how Addison Trail is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with multiple events, including the annual District 88 Crosstown Classic Football Game between Addison Trail and Willowbrook. That game will begin about 7 p.m. on Sept. 9, and community members are welcome to attend and cheer on the Blazers and Warriors.
