The Addison VFW Post 7446 will host its annual flower show on March 21, offering a night of beauty, entertainment and support for veterans.
The event is open to adult community members and will take place at the VFW, 446 W. Lake St. in Addison. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m.
Attendees will be treated to a live floral arrangement demonstration by Addison Floral, during which about 20 stunning arrangements will be created on-site. A $6 entry donation grants a ticket for a chance to win one of those arrangements, and participants can buy more $6 tickets to increase the odds of winning.
Beyond the floral showcase, the event will feature:
* NOTE: This event is cash only (no other forms of payment will be accepted).
All proceeds from the flower show will directly benefit veterans through organizations such as the Fisher House Foundation, VFW National Home and the Veterans’ Home at Manteno. In past years, funds raised have helped train canines for veterans, host baby showers for wives of active soldiers, distribute backpacks to homeless veterans and more.
“Our annual flower show is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy an evening out in a relaxed atmosphere, while watching experts craft beautiful floral arrangements,” said Jean Morris, President of the Addison VFW Auxiliary. “It’s a great way to give back, support and say thank you to our veterans, who fought for our freedom.”
