Five District 88 students earn ISBE College and Career Pathway Endorsement in Education Teacher Preparation

Five District 88 students from the class of 2024 were recently awarded their College and Career Pathway Endorsement in Education Teacher Preparation through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

To earn this achievement, the recipients had to meet the following criteria.

  1. Complete an individualized plan, which includes college planning linked to early understanding of career goals, financial aid, résumé and personal statement.

  2. Complete two years of secondary coursework, or equivalent competencies, that articulate to a postsecondary credential with labor market value. This must include at least six hours of early college credit. 

  3. Complete a career-development experience that includes 60 cumulative hours of paid or credit-supervised work and a professional skills assessment.

  4. Complete a team-based challenge.
