You’re invited to attend District 88’s annual BLACKtopia Conference

District 88 invites students, parents/guardians and educators to attend the annual BLACKtopia Conference!

The event focuses on leadership, learning and legacy. See the details below.

What: In collaboration with District 88 and valued community partners, the event focuses on academic readiness, career exploration and whole-family empowerment. Participants will enjoy a day of connection and celebration.

The conference will feature:

• Dynamic speakers and presentations
• Sessions include: Career Mapping, Al Cheat Code and Financial Literacy
• Parent workshops: Mental Health of a Black Child and College Financial Planning
• Vendors
• Special guest performance

• Alpha Kappa Alpha Inc. Chi Sigma Omega Chapter 
• Junior Achievement of Chicago
• BMO Harris

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 8, 2025 (doors open at 9:30 a.m.)

Where: Addison Trail High School, 213 N. Lombard Road in Addison

Cost: Free

Entry: Please bring one pack of socks per person. All donations will benefit senior citizens in assisted living facilities.
