District 88 receives postvention suicide resources grant from IDPH

District 88 is proud to share the district has been awarded a $121,041 postvention suicide resources grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

The grant supports schools, community centers and mental health outreach facilities to provide resources specific to materials and support for agencies, families and schools in the event of a suicide. The grant also encompasses materials and resources for youth at risk of suicide and depression, with links/connections to area mental health agencies.

District 88 will continue to collaborate with the IDPH and Addison Resources Connect (ARC) to review grant requirements and next steps regarding implementation. ARC is a network of education leaders, business owners, service groups and intergovernmental agencies, who work together with the common focus of supporting and bettering the Village of Addison community.
