Courses are
developed utilizing the Understanding by Design framework of
Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe. Courses within departments will go
through a curricular review to determine alignment of course
standards to IL Learning Standards and Assessment Frameworks. New courses
are reviewed by the District 88 Curriculum Council and Leadership Council and brought to the Board of
Education for approval. Courses that have not run for three years
consecutively are dropped from the course catalog.
