commercial and industrial tax bases. 00:12:26.632 --> 00:12:30.899 District 45 operates with revenue that is approximately $7 million 00:12:30.899 --> 00:12:34.865 short of state, the state's adequacy target for our district, 00:12:34.899 --> 00:12:39.099 necessitating significant budget deficits for the past several years. 00:12:39.232 --> 00:12:43.499 These annual deficits are not the result of any single decision or contract, 00:12:43.499 --> 00:12:44.865 but rather of the district's 00:12:44.865 --> 00:12:48.865 ongoing commitment to meet the significant needs of our students and families.
