Morris celebrated with teammates, friends, administrators, staff members and family members, as well as Holy Cross College Men’s Golf Team Head Coach T.J. Mannen. Morris is a four-year member of the Addison Trail Varsity Boys Golf Team and said highlights of his high school career include:

  • Receiving West Suburban Conference Gold Division All-Conference honors all four years

  • Finishing in 2nd place in the West Suburban Conference Gold Division three times

  • Qualifying for the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Sectional Tournament all four years

  • Receiving IHSA All-Regional honors in 2016

  • Medaling at five invitational tournaments

  • Being named as the MVP of the Addison Trail Varsity Boys Golf Team all four years and as Captain for three years

Morris has been golfing for six years and said the challenging nature of the sport is what makes him want to continue at the collegiate level.

“I love the competition in golf,” Morris said. “It motivates me to compete at my best and practice to get better. I love the feeling of making a clutch putt or striping a drive down the fairway. I’m hoping that playing for Holy Cross College will make me the best player and best person I can be.”

Morris plans to pursue a degree in business at Holy Cross College.
