This can be a very stressful time of year for students. However, being prepared can help reduce anxiety, so students can do their best, finish the semester off right and enjoy Winter Break. Below are some helpful tips.

  1. Don’t wait until the last minute to study. If you start ahead of schedule, you will do better. Look at your exam schedule, and start studying early – especially for the harder exams.

  2. Minimize distractions. Go to your local library or coffee shop, or join a study group that will help keep you motivated.

  3. Get some exercise! Even 20 minutes has been shown to improve memory, reduce stress and provide more energy.

  4. Eat a good breakfast the morning of your final exams. It is more difficult to concentrate if you’re hungry.

  5. Get enough sleep. You will be more relaxed and alert with adequate rest.

  6. Be confident! If you study and take the time to prepare, chances are you will do well.
