On Oct. 5, students in Willowbrook Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher Amy Nowak’s Culinary Arts 2 class competed in a Chili Cook-Off.

Participants had to research a recipe to make as part of the course’s sauce, soup and starch unit. Entries were evaluated by judges, who rated the chili on presentation, flavor, texture, consistency, blend of spices, aroma and color.

The winning team members are sophomores Nazzareno Dugo, Brendon Schenke and Ryan Basford. As the winners, they will get to choose a meal to make and enjoy.
