Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club hosts annual Senior Athletic Banquet

On May 16, the Willowbrook Athletic Booster Club hosted its annual Senior Athletic Banquet at Venuti’s Italian Restaurant & Banquet Hall in Addison.

During the event, 2017-18 highlights and successes of each athletic team were shared, and student-athletes from the class of 2018 were recognized for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.

Award winners and scholarship recipients also were named, and those students are:

• Helen Carpenter Most Valuable Female Athlete: Kathleen Smith

• Athletic Booster Club Scholarship: Jack Jessen, Brandon Loth, Ethan Schuemer, Briana Jones, Sikander Zafar, John Taylor
• Lauren M. Kiefer Memorial Scholarship: Alexis Wedoff, Edgar Quintas, Brianna White
• Susan Jurkonis Scholarship: Maria Luz Alcala, Kathleen Smith, Jack Jessen, John Morser
