Willowbrook hosts send-off celebration for eight students who competed in BPA National Leadership Conference

On May 9, Willowbrook hosted a send-off celebration for eight students who competed in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference.

That event took place from May 9 to 13 in Texas, and this year’s theme was “Dream Bigger.” The students who competed are:

  • Senior Sheharyar Ahmed: C++ Programming (placed 5th at State)
  • Senior Taha Akhtar: Database Applications (placed 2nd at State) and C++ Programming (placed 3rd at State)
  • Senior Catherine Carey: Fundamental Desktop Publishing (placed 2nd at State) and Digital Publishing (placed 3rd at State)
  • Sophomore Jack Carey: ICD-10 Diagnostic Coding (placed 3rd at State)
  • Senior Nicholas Johnson: Systems Administration Using Cisco® (placed 5th at State) and Java Programming (State Champion)
  • Junior Tomas Pelesinas: Digital Publishing (placed 4th at State)
  • Senior Ethan Rojek: Visual Basic/C# Programming (placed 3rd at State)
  • Senior Ammar Waheed: SQL Database Fundamentals (placed 5th at State)
