On Feb. 7, Addison Trail hosted a National Letter of Intent Signing Day for senior Randall Petrbok, who has committed to play football at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He will be a Defensive Lineman for the Football Team.

Petrbok celebrated with teammates, friends, administrators, staff members and family members. He has been a three-year starter for the Blazer football program and has been honored multiple times for his efforts on the field, as well as for his academic performance in the classroom. This year, Petrbok was named to the All-Conference and All-Academic teams in the West Suburban Conference Gold Division. He also was named as an Honorable Mention to the Daily Herald DuPage County All-Area Team and earned Illinois High School Football Coaches Association (IHSFCA) Academic All-State honors.

Petrbok began playing football when he was in kindergarten and said the camaraderie of the sport is what makes him want to continue at the collegiate level.

“What I love about football is it’s the greatest team sport,” Petrbok said. “You have to work together as a team to be successful on the field.”

Petrbok plans to pursue a degree in computer science at Minnesota State University Moorhead, where his sister Sarah is a member of the Volleyball Team.
