Ozee will donate 100 percent of the sales from “Regulus” that take place between Dec. 1 and Jan. 1, 2018, to Durham Literacy Center in Durham, North Carolina, and Young Chicago Authors in Chicago.

Telling stories through writing has been a passion for Addison Trail alumnus Aaron Ozee (class of 2014) since he was 5 years old. So when he had the opportunity to initiate a campaign to donate proceeds from his latest children’s book, “Regulus,” to two organizations focused on providing literacy services to adults and children, as well as writing, publication and performance education, he couldn’t wait to get started.

One-hundred percent of the sales from “Regulus” that take place between Dec. 1 and Jan. 1, 2018, will go to Durham Literacy Center in Durham, North Carolina, and Young Chicago Authors in Chicago. Ozee said he partnered with his publisher, Lulu, to coordinate the campaign.

“This has been a massive undertaking to properly organize this venture, but it will certainly benefit those attempting to improve their reading and writing skills in the end,” Ozee said. “Besides the fact I have been wanting to give back to the community by allocating the monetary resources of my published titles for some time now, I've desired to do so in recognition of Addison Trail. Remembering all the school has given me in terms of inspiration, it is an honor to make the Addison Trail community proud and to show the world where my career as a creator began.”

“Regulus” was released this past summer and tells the story of three tiny mice, who represent innocence and youth, as they cross paths with the titular character, Regulus, who represents the more troubling moments in life. To buy a copy of “Regulus,” go to www.lulu.com/aaronozee.

Ozee also speaks at schools, bookstores and national events to share his success as an entrepreneur and an author. For more information about Ozee and his publications, go to www.AaronOzee.com, and follow him on Facebook (@AaronOzee) and Twitter (@AaronOzee).
