Counseling Corner: Summer hours for Addison Trail and Willowbrook guidance departments
During summer break, the Addison Trail and Willowbrook guidance departments will be available to meet with students and parents/guardians regarding a number of topics, including 2017-18 class schedules and college, career and four-year planning.
The departments also offer the following tips to help students prepare for the 2017-18 school year.
- If you are enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level course, be sure to get your summer work. The Guidance Office will have extra copies of those assignments. We highly encourage students to start on this work early and not wait until the end of summer.
- If you received an incomplete and need to make up a final exam, call the phone numbers below to schedule a time to complete the assessment.
- For incoming seniors, build your wish list of colleges, and go to their websites to see when the application process will open. Try to visit a college on your summer vacation.
- For incoming seniors, update your résumé and find sample essay questions to help you get ready for college applications.
- Summer is a time to rest and relax. However, take some time to pick up a book of your choice and read to help you stay in-tune with your studies.

- June 5 to 29: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday
- June 30 to July 23: Closed
- July 24 to Aug. 2: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday

Willowbrook Guidance Department summer hours
- June 8 to 29: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday
- June 30 to July 21: Closed
- July 24 to Aug. 4: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday (plus Friday, Aug. 4)
- Administrative office hours: June 8 to Aug. 4 (7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday)
