Thank you for another tremendous school year at District 88

It’s hard to believe another school year has come to an end, and I would like to thank all of our stakeholders for continuing to help us provide our students with a high-quality and comprehensive educational experience.

One of my favorite moments each year is watching members of the senior class from our two high schools – Addison Trail and Willowbrook – walk across the stage and receive their diplomas during graduation. Throughout their four years at District 88, those students enjoyed successes and overcame challenges to get to that moment, and it’s incredible to see our focus of building futures come to life as those students move on to their next chapter. It’s a humbling reminder of the importance of what we do each and every day for each child.

Addison Trail is proud to announce more than 450 students have graduated this year. On May 21, members of the class of 2017 participated in the school's 51st annual commencement ceremony. To view photos from graduation, click the image above.

Willowbrook is proud to announce more than 425 students have graduated this year. On May 21, members of the class of 2017 participated in the school's 58th annual commencement ceremony. To view photos from graduation, click the image above.

As I reflect on 2016-17, it has truly been another tremendous year at District 88. We know that’s because of our motivated students, involved parents/guardians, committed and caring staff, engaged community members and knowledgeable Board of Education members.

We received multiple recognitions from the 2017 Niche Rankings, and Addison Trail and Willowbrook were again named as two of “America’s Most Challenging High Schools” by The Washington Post. Our students earned state and national honors in academics, athletics and extracurricular activities and maintained our commitment to giving back to the community. We had many outstanding accomplishments this year, and you can view highlights at https://www.dupage88.net/site/public/files/?item=3471.

As we conclude the 2016-17 school year, I would like to thank you for your continued support of District 88 and our mission to work for the continuous improvement of student achievement. Have a wonderful summer break!
