Willowbrook introduces 2016-17 National Honor Society inductees

Willowbrook is proud to announce the 2016-17 National Honor Society (NHS) inductees.

More than 170 students were recognized during a ceremony on April 19. During the event, student officers highlighted successes of this year and the four tenets of NHS – leadership, service, character and scholarship. Seniors received a cord to wear during graduation, juniors received an NHS pin and sophomores received an NHS certificate. As each senior received a cord, he or she spoke about an influential teacher to whom he or she wrote a thank you note.

The event's keynote speaker was Willowbrook teacher Jeff Reher, who will retire at the end of the 2016-17 school year.

To be inducted into Willowbrook’s National Honor Society, students must apply and have a minimum 3.5 GPA, as well as demonstrate leadership, service, character and scholarship.
