Addison Trail hosts International Fest Week

From Feb. 21 to 24, Addison Trail hosted its annual International Fest Week, during which more than 20 presenters spoke to more than 2,000 students in nearly 150 classes about their travels and experiences from throughout the world. Through those presentations, students were able to learn about many different cultures.

Addison Trail partnered with Junior Achievement of Chicago to coordinate and organize the presenters.

The week culminated with the annual International Dance Show, which featured 17 dances that represented various countries/cultures. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s show will be donated to Maestro Cares Foundation. According to the foundation’s website (http://maestrocares.org), “Maestro Cares Foundation improves the quality of life of orphaned and disadvantaged children in Latin America and the U.S. (It does) so by providing housing, educational programming and the essential resources to support their growth and development, so they can become tomorrow’s leaders.”
