Six Willowbrook students to compete at FCCLA State Leadership Conference

Six Willowbrook students have qualified to compete at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Leadership Conference.

That event will take place from April 6 to 8 in Springfield.

The students who qualified are:

  • Senior Dominique Haywood: Personal Child Care Provider
  • Junior Alyssa Lavery: Children's Literature Presentation
  • Junior Marissa Smith: Children's Literature Presentation
  • Senior Kellie Lanigan: Children's Literature Presentation
  • Senior Haley Warren: Children's Literature Presentation
  • Junior Ashley Wright: Children's Literature Presentation

FCCLA is a nonprofit, national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences education in public and private school through grade 12. FCCLA’s mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge and career preparation.
