You’re invited to get involved with the District 88 Foundation

Are you looking for a way to give back to District 88 and support the students at Addison Trail and Willowbrook?

The District 88 Foundation is a great source to make a positive impact – and there are many ways to get involved. The District 88 Foundation is a member of the Partnership for Inspired Education (PIE) Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves public school students in District 88, Addison School District 4, School District 45 and Salt Creek School District 48. Founded in 2009, PIE is designed to be the foundation that supports a long-term partnership with the community, businesses, schools and, most importantly, the children served. For more information about PIE, go to www.piefoundation.org.

Funds raised by the PIE and District 88 foundations have been used to support students through initiatives such as:

  • Providing computers and Internet access
  • Subsidizing Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level tests
  • Offering mini-grants for staff to develop instructional enhancements for students (to see a list of awarded mini-grants, go to https://dupage88.net/site/page/3046)

Below are five ways you can get involved with and assist the District 88 Foundation.

1. JOIN THE DISTRICT 88 FOUNDATION
We invite you to attend our monthly meetings to learn more about what we do. Even if you can’t make every meeting, we encourage you to stop by when possible to provide your valuable input and contribute to this group. To see this school year’s meeting schedule, go to https://www.dupage88.net/site/public/files/?item=2997.

2. ATTEND A DISTRICT 88 OR PIE FOUNDATION EVENT
Throughout the school year, the foundations host events to raise funds and engage students, parents/guardians and community members. Our next event will be the 2017 Dennis Doyle 3-on-3 Classic District 88 Foundation Basketball Tournament, and details are listed below.

Participants enjoy a previous Dennis Doyle 3-on-3 Classic District 88 Foundation Basketball Tournament. This year's event will take place on March 4 at Addison Trail.

3. GIVE THE GIFT OF TIME
Whether you have a lot of extra time or a little, the foundation is always looking for volunteers to help plan and run events. We invite you to get involved as much or as little as your schedule allows. For information about how you can volunteer, contact District 88 Director of Community Relations Dani Brink at dbrink@dupage88.net or 630-530-3989.

4. MONETARY DONATION
We appreciate your generous donation to benefit our students. Your financial support allows the foundation to provide our students with opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t be available through the district’s budget. No donation is too small.
