District 88 recognizes community leaders, first responders and members of the military during crosstown football game

On Sept. 9, District 88 recognized local legislators, community leaders and first responders, as well as active-duty members of the military and veterans, during the crosstown football game between Addison Trail and Willowbrook. The district introduced the guests to the crowd to thank them for their service and support of District 88. On Sept. 9, District 88 invited local legislators, community leaders and first responders, as well as active-duty members of the military and veterans, to attend the 51st annual crosstown football game between Willowbrook and Addison Trail. This year’s game took place at Addison Trail, and the Willowbrook Warriors won 38-7.

The district introduced the guests to the crowd to thank them for their service and support of District 88, and a presentation of the flags and Color Guard took place in honor of the 15th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001.

Nearly 30 guests attended the game, representing the Village of Addison, the Addison Police Department, the Addison Fire Protection District, the Village of Villa Park and the Villa Park Fire Department. State Rep. Kathleen Willis and District 88 Board of Education members Donna Craft Cain (President), Jay Irvin (Vice President), Sharon Kucik (Secretary), Blanca Jessen and Lisa Lullo attended as well.
