Second annual 5K event to take place in memory of Willowbrook student

You’re invited to attend a fundraiser in memory of Willowbrook student Emilio Perez, whose life was lost much too soon on March 8, 2014.

The event, called “Whistle While You Walk/Run 5K,” will begin at 8 a.m. on May 1 at Willowbrook. The entry fee is $25 for adults, and kids 12 years old and younger are free. Willowbrook students are eligible to register two for the price of one.

Proceeds will go toward the Emilio Perez Foundation Memorial Scholarship, which benefits Willowbrook seniors. To register, and for more information, go to www.emilioperezfoundation.com.
