District 88 Foundation invites community members to two upcoming events to benefit students

The District 88 Foundation invites community members to participate in two upcoming events that will benefit students at Addison Trail and Willowbrook. See details below.

The District 88 Foundation is a member of the Partnership for Inspired Education (PIE) Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves public school students in District 88, Addison Elementary School District 4, School District 45 and Salt Creek School District 48.

Founded in 2009, PIE is designed to be the foundation that supports a long-term partnership with the community, businesses, schools and, most importantly, the children served. For more information about PIE, go to www.piefoundation.org.

PIE Foundation 2016 fundraiser:

What: The PIE Foundation’s 2016 fundraiser is a perfect family outing and shopping experience. The evening will feature a performance of “Bye Bye Birdie;” dinner; and an auction with sports memorabilia and tickets to games, weekend getaway packages, jewelry and other unique items. There also will be a “Win-Win” raffle with gift certificates, a “Surprise Prize” raffle and a “Big Raffle” with several items of high value.

When: 2 p.m. Feb. 28

Where: Drury Lane, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace

Tickets: $68 each (Tickets can be bought at www.piefoundation.org)

Where: Willowbrook, 1250 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park (transportation will be provided from Addison Trail)

Funds raised by the District 88 Foundation have been used to support students through initiatives such as providing computers and Internet access, subsidizing Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level tests and offering mini-grants for staff to develop instructional opportunities to benefit students.
