Addison Trail Varsity Coed Cheerleading Team earns 1st place at ICCA Championships

Addison Trail senior Nicole Infantino was recently named as an Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association (ICCA) 2016 Scholarship Winner.

The scholarship program recognizes senior cheerleaders who are not only athletically skilled, but also well-rounded school members. All nominees were evaluated on their application, video, Coach’s questionnaire and transcript. The top 11 finalists were then interviewed by a panel of ICCA judges during the Championships in Springfield. Infantino earned 2nd place in the program.

During the Championships on Jan. 8, the Addison Trail Varsity Coed Cheerleading Team won 1st place, earning the title of ICCA Coed Champions. Team members also competed in the Coed Stunt Group division for the first time and earned 1st place in that division as well. Teams must receive a bid to compete at the Championships, and Addison Trail earned a bid during its second competition of this season.

Members of the Varsity Coed Cheerleading Team are Infantino (captain), senior Giuseppe Rubino (captain), senior Alexa Enriquez, junior Alexandra Rodriguez, sophomore Alyssa Anselmini, senior Danielle Muccianti, sophomore Giancarlo Saraceno, sophomore KayLee Alcorn, senior Megan Tully, freshman Madelyn Biancalana, freshman Nicole Branklin, junior Rianna Voigt, senior Rosanna Ungaro, junior Rose Otero, junior Sabrina Arce, sophomore Sarah Scali and senior Taylor Imperatrice.
