Addison Trail to host International Fest Week

From Feb. 22 to 26, Addison Trail will celebrate International Fest Week.

During the week, students will enjoy presentations in which speakers will discuss their travels and experiences from throughout the world. The school is looking for speakers to share their stories of traveling abroad. For those who are interested in presenting, contact Addison Trail Assistant Principal Iridia Niewinski at iniewinski@dupage88.net or 630-628-3307. Please provide the following information.

  • Title and brief description of the presentation
  • Availability for presenting (time and date)
  • A brief biography
  • Any technology needs for the presentation

And on Feb. 26, students will take the stage for the International Dance Show. The show will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature about 21 dances that represent at least 15 different countries/cultures. Tickets cost $7 for adults, $5 for students and children ages 3 to 12, $3 with an Activity Pass and are free with a District 88 Senior Gold Card. For tickets or more information, contact Niewinski.

A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to WE.org. According to the organization’s website (www.we.org), “WE.org empowers people to change the world. Together, WE make this change through our work at home, abroad and through our social enterprise.”
