This Giving Tuesday, consider putting District 88 on your list

It’s that time of year again – the season of giving! And Dec. 1 is Giving Tuesday.

According to Giving Tuesday’s website, www.givingtuesday.org, “Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.”

This holiday season, consider a unique gift that’s perfect for anyone on your list – a donation to a worthy cause. Your generous support of the District 88 organizations below benefits Addison Trail and Willowbrook students.

  • District 88 Foundation: The District 88 Foundation is a member of the Partnership for Inspired Education (PIE) Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves public school students in District 88, Addison Elementary School District 4, School District 45 and Salt Creek School District 48. Founded in 2009, PIE is designed to be the foundation that supports a long-term partnership with the community, businesses, schools and, most importantly, the children served. Funds raised by the foundations have been used to support students through initiatives such as providing computers and Internet access, subsidizing Advanced Placement (AP)/college-level tests and offering mini-grants for staff to develop instructional opportunities to benefit students.
