District 88 to offer interactive option for student registration and online payment option for cafeteria purchases

At District 88, we have many exciting technology updates as we transition from the 2014-15 school year to the 2015-16 school year.

This summer, we will implement a more interactive option for student registration, with online forms available at www.dupage88.net through our Learning Management System, Nucleus. Those forms will allow parents to update and submit student registration information electronically during a registration period in July, which enhances and streamlines our August in-person registration. We will send out information on how to set up parent accounts and use the interactive online system soon.

We also are implementing online options to pay for cafeteria purchases. Parents will now have the ability to use a credit card online to pay for student purchases in the cafeteria. More details will be coming soon. We are thrilled about these changes as we update our technology systems, with a continued focus on increasing online accessibility, streamlining electronic communication and preparing our students with 21st-century technology skills.

We also are expanding our laptop checkout program through our libraries, so students can use technology in and out of the classroom. Students have the opportunity to check out and use a laptop from our libraries for school work, class projects and research assignments. This program is an ongoing commitment to our students to provide them with digital access in an increasingly technology-focused world.

Thank you for your support of District 88 as we continuously look to improve our technology services. We are pleased to provide these updates for our parents, students and staff.
