Addison Trail hosts first chili cook-off contest

On May 1, 24 Addison Trail students who are enrolled in the school’s Culinary Arts II class participated in Addison Trail’s first chili cook-off contest.

Each kitchen chose and prepared a chili to be judged by faculty members. Criteria included presentation, flavor, consistency, aroma, color and spice. Faculty members who served as judges are Juliann Boudouris, Laura Calo, Amy Ferraro, Elizabeth Jacobson, Jennifer Kowalski and Sean O’Connor.

The winning team members are freshman Jesus Banuelos, junior Edgar Rodriguez, senior Alexis Ibarra and sophomore Brianna Garcia-Silva.
