District 88 staff members earn two Distinguished Service Awards from the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association

On May 8, District 88 staff members were honored with two awards from the Illinois Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA) during the organization’s annual Distinguished Service Awards.

According to INSPRA’s website (www.INSPRA.org), “The Distinguished Service Awards event is an opportunity to honor deserving education staff and supporters of local school districts. This statewide program brings recognition to the award recipient and the nominating school district. It is a wonderful way to highlight the successes of public schools and to thank various stakeholders for acting as public relations ambassadors for education.”

Addison Trail INTERACT Club Co-sponsors Esther Delgado and Jorge de Leon accept an Award of Excellence on behalf of the Kermes Team during INSPRA's Distinguished Service Awards on May 8.

On Nov. 1, 2014, Addison Trail hosted an event called Kermes, which means “carnival” in Spanish. The festival embraced the Latino culture and brought together members of the community for an evening of fun, food and family. The team of staff and students who coordinated that event was honored with an Award of Excellence in the Team category.
