Addison Trail seeking donations for Blazer Boutique and The Blazer

It’s prom and graduation season, and that means it’s time for the Addison Trail Blazer Boutique!

The boutique was started about three years ago by Addison Trail physical education teacher Sheri D’Ambrose. It’s a way for people to "be green" and "recycle" dresses they no longer wear for other students to enjoy. The dresses are available for students to use for any special occasion such as prom, which is coming up on June 5, or graduation, which is coming up on June 7. Donations of purses, shoes, accessories and formal and semiformal dresses are being accepted.

Addison Trail also is seeking donations for The Blazer – a closet full of items for boys. Donations of suits, ties, dress shirts and dress shoes for young men are requested.

If you have items to give to the Blazer Boutique or The Blazer, drop them off between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. during the week at Addison Trail, 213 N. Lombard Road in Addison (door No. 1).
