On Feb. 21, four Addison Trail staff members participated in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.
The team – comprised of Jessica Sokolowski, Melissa Morales, Lisa Bollow (Special Education Department Chair) and Lynn Frazier – raised $800. They are all members of Addison Trail’s Special Education Department. To earn that money, the team had to jump into the brisk waters at Northwestern University Beach in Evanston. All proceeds collected by plungers benefit Special Olympics Illinois athletes.
In 16 years, $12.3 million has been raised by more than 47,000 plungers. For more information, go to www.plungeillinois.com.
